Service Description

Carboxytherapy has been used in medicine for several dozens of years, and lately started being also used in aesthetic medicine. The treatment involves injecting carbo dioxide below skin. During the first phase there appears a passing underoxidation of tissues which results in widening blood vessels with following skin hypermia. As a result, healing processes speed up, skin condition and look improves. Lipolytic activity of carbon dioxide is connected to its partial transformation into carbon acid which dissolves fat cells. Additionally, increased blood supply leads to increased lymphatic drainage of a cured area, fastening metabolism and eliminating released fat. Indications : ✔︎ Speeding up healing in the process of protracted and not cicatrising wounds and helcosis ✔︎ Defluvium, including androgenic alopecia ✔︎ Psoriasis ✔︎ Circulation dysfunction ✔︎ Cellulite, Excessive fat tissues ✔︎ Stretchmarks, Loss of face skin firmness ✔︎ Dark circles, under-eye pouches, wrinkles and eye skin laxity Contraindications: ✔︎ Pregnancy, Severe heart and lungs diseases ✔︎ Cancer ✔︎ Skin inflammation in the treatment area ✔︎ Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors therapy ✔︎ Active viral infections (e.g. herpes) Aftercare Refrain from touching the treated area for 2 hours after the procedure. As with any injectable treatment where the skin is punctured, there can be swelling, bruising or tenderness post-treatment which can remain present for several days. Stretch marks (Striae) or scars can appear raised or considerably reddened post-treatment. This is normal as the process creates an increase of blood flow to the treated area and this usually settles within 24 – 48 hours. Treatment around the peri-orbital (eye) area can lead to the eyes becoming puffy for a few days. There may be an increase of fluid to the area and this may remain present for 24 – 72 hours. We recommend eye treatments in intervals of 1 – 2 weeks to allow the area to recover. What does this help? Carboxy therapy improves skin elasticity, improves circulation, encourages collagen repair, improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area How many sessions will I need? Most people need 6 to 10 sessions, once every week before they begin to see results. Individual differences are expected.
